It is effective against sensitive Gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillin-resistant strains), Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus spp., Bacillus anthracis, erysipelas, Listeria spp., Clostridium spp., and gas gangrene organisms.
