For color projects, this machine just won't do, but a model that uses Dell 310-9060 toner will. 

Its monthly duty cycle of 8000 pages and its 150 page input tray make using the laser unit a luxury. It has impressive speeds all around. It can fax at only 3 seconds per page. Using LaserJet M1212nf toner it can scan 6 pages per minute, copy 19 pages per minute and print 19 pages per minute - which are all fairly good speeds for a machine like this. The printer supports letter, envelope, index card, legal and postcard sized paper. Ethernet connection is also available. For midlevel offices that produce a multitude of projects each month, this model may be limiting. However, one that uses Lexmark C5240KH toner should work perfectly.

One black HP M1212nf toner cartridge is needed in conjunction with the unit. This printer toner has an exceptional page yield of 1,600. Not only will it last quite awhile, but the LaserJet ink has a resolution of 600x600 dpi, though it is possible to print and scan at 1200 dpi. These HP M1212nf toner cartridges will have a long life of exerting high quality; however, they will cost a pretty penny. One resolution to this high costs problem is to buy the toners from third party vendors - this will save buyers money while providing the same quality and precision. To save even more money, consider a unit like the Oki C9560 that features Okidata 43034804 toner and has a much lower cost per page. 

Users find it to be fast, accurate and easy to use. The price of the unit itself is also a positive for most. Consumers tend to agree that the lack of Wi-Fi connectivity and automatic duplexer can be limiting. Another con is the cost per page when using OEM LaserJet M1212nf toner.
