Geocells are cellular
containment honeycomb-like systems made of strong but light-weight ultrasonically
welded High-Density Polyethelene strips that are expanded at the site to be filled
non-cohesive granular materials
to serve a number of functions including soil stabilization, slope
protection, retaining walls, and erosion control. They are uniquely useful in the
construction of roads in sandy desert areas.
