Description

It relates to glasses that are resistant against the firing of specified weapons and ammunition, preventing the passage of bullets or parts of bullets through the glass into the protected side. It also protects personnel against injury fromsplinters of glass.

The glass is obtained by bonding several layers of the glass with Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB). The Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB) in this case is more of soft glue which absorbs most of the energy from the bulk of the glass which will stop the bullet from penetrating. The more layers and thickness, the greater the strength of the glass all over.

• Requirements can be from simple safety glass applications to high security anti-bandit glass
• Bullet-resistant glass for buildings and cars
• Explosion-resistant glass - all of which employ multiple layers of glass, polycarconate sheets and PVB to meet specified threat-levels
• Multi-ply laminated glass of appropriate sizes & thicknesses can be used for aquariums & swimming pools.
